You are God with a big "G"

This pops up every once in a while on the forums so here it is pinned for further study.
The message of
The Book of Light
is crystal clear and simple. You are God. Although many may consider this blasphemy, and some might go so far as to accuse somebody who says this of being the antichrist, in fact there is clear precedent in this world's religious traditions. Here are some quotes from the Christian bible to back up the message in The Book of Light
Psalm 82:5-6
5 "They know nothing, they understand nothing.
They walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 "I said, 'You are "gods";
you are all sons of the Most High.
John 10:34
. Is it not written in your law, "I have said you are gods."
Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
---
Feel free to add to this thread if you find other scripture, or other sacred text, from any religion or spiritual tradition, that corroborates this message. I got to say, getting this message is an important one, especially now.
:-)

OK, I'll contribute a tidbit from the Islamic side of the equation:
The early Perisan Sufi master 'Al Hallaj" became immortalized with his realization and proclamation "An Al-Haqq!", which translates as "I am the Truth!", or "I am God!" He continued to make this procamation loudly even upon the crucifix, and he died for it.
This happens to be one of the main precepts that propelled me upon the LP!

Mark 11:
And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
John 13:
So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
and my all-time fav:
Gen 1:26-27 “And God said, Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.”

AAANNNNDDDDDDD
This brings us to the Nicean Council 300 or 400 AD who threw out many of the original writings of the Bible because they were thought to be too much into Mysticism. Or do you think that it was another way to control the people. What would happen if we did indeed realize that we-We are co-creator and one with God?
The Gospel of St Thomas has a couple pieces in it (part of the Dead Sea Scrolls) about God being of everything, for example where he writes -break a twig and you will find me there.
I have some books -that are not within reach at the moment but I will post more when I have them infront of me.

There is this field of grapvines...all the vines are connected to the earth, all the vines are seperate, yet they are connected.
These vines grow, wild and untamed, and they have to be pruned.
In the pruning process, many of the branches are lost because they are old, dead, withered, or they are not beneficial to the growth of the whole.
Yet this is never a bad thing, it may seem so as the branches are trimmed, fallen to the soil and left to "become one" with the earth.
The vines grows lush, branches become full of leaves, and fruit begans to in abundance.
(this is the way I present it to my children, so that they understand the ONENESS)

Most of the following are extracted from Aldus Huxley’s “Perennial Philosophy”, An Interpretation of the Great Mystics, East and West.
Ancient Sanskrit:
The message is expressed in the ancient Sanskrit Sutra “Tat Tvam Asi” (taht t’vahm AH-see) – That Art Thou; the Atman, or immanent eternal Self, is one with Brahman, the Absolute Principle of all existence; and the last end of every human being is to discover the fact for himself, to find out Who he really is.
Confucius:
“Whoever essentially knows his own nature, can know also that of other men and can penetrate into the nature of beings. He can collaborate in the transformation and the progress of heaven and earth.”
Book of Chuang Tzu (Taoist) written around the turn of the fourth and third centuries B.C.:
“Do not ask whether the Principle is in this or in that; it is in all beings… All proceeds from It and is under its influence. It is in all things, but is not identical with beings, for it is neither differentiated nor limited”.
Poet-saint Kabir, claimed as co-religionist both by Moslems and Hindus:
“Behold but One in all things; it is the second that leads you astray.”
“Benares is to the East, Mecca to the West; but explore your own heart, for there are both Rama and Allah.”
Bayazid of Bistun (Sufi Saint):
“I went from God to God, until they cried from me in me, “O though I!”
Yung-chia Ta-shih (Mahayana Buddhism):
"One Nature, perfect and pervading circulates in all natures,
One Reality, all-comprehensive, contains within itself all realities.
The one moon reflects itself wherever there is a sheet of water,
And all the moons in the waters are embraced within the one Moon.
The Dharma-body (the Absolute) of all the Buddhas enters into my own being.
And my own being is found in union with theirs…
The Inner Light is beyond praise and blame;
Like space it knows no boundaries,
Yet it is even here, within us, ever retaining its serenity and fullness.
It is only when you hunt for it that you lose it;
You cannot take hold of it, but equally you cannot get rid of it,
And while you can do neither, it goes on its way.
You remain silent and it speaks; you speak, and it is dumb;
The great gate of charity is wide open, with no obstacles before it."
Mahayana Buddhism apparently came to be closely associated with Taoism until eventually the two fused into what is known as Zen. The following Lankavatara Sutra was a scripture which the founder of Zen Buddhism expressly recommended to his first disciples...
Lankavatara Sutra:
“Those who vainly reason without understanding the truth are lost in the jungle of the Vijnanas (the various forms of relative knowledge), running about here and there and trying to justify their view of ego-substance.
The self realised in your inmost consciousness appears in its purity; this is the Tathagata-garbha (literally, Buddha-womb), which is not the realm of those given over to mere reasoning…
Pure in its own nature and free from the category of finite and infinite, Universal Mind is the undefiled Buddha-womb, which is wrongly apprehended by sentient beings.”
Epictetus (55-135):
"You are a distinct portion of the essence of God in yourself. Why, then, are you ignorant of your noble birth? Why do you not consider whence you came? Why do you not remember when you are eating, who you are who eat; and whom you feed; do you not know that it is the divine you feed; the divine you exercise? You carry a God about within you."
Meister Eckhart (1260-1328):
“The seed of God is in us. Given an intelligent and hardworking farmer, it will thrive and grow up to be God, whose seed it is; and accordingly its fruits will be God-nature. Pear seeds grow into pear trees, nut seeds into nut trees, and God seed into God.”
“God expects but one thing of you, and that is that you should come out of yourself in so far as you are a created being and let God be God in you.”
St Catherine of Genoa (1447-1510):
“My Me is God, nor do I recognise any other Me except my God himself.”
Mohandas K Gandhi (1869-1948):
“My experience tells me that the Kingdom of God is within us, and that we can realise it not by saying “Lord, Lord” but by doing His will and His work. If, therefore, we wait for the Kingdom to come as something coming from outside, we shall be sadly mistaken.”
With love

Waves in the ocean. At once the ocean and the wave, emerging as me, and then merging again with the ocean, all the time both.
